Sarah Elizabeth Kayne Allen, MD

Sarah Kayne Allen, MD, is a board-certified physician in internal medicine, with clinical and research interests that include women’s health, culturally sensitive care and the use of telemedicine and visual aids to promote open communication with patients.

While at New York University’s Grossman School of Medicine in Brooklyn, NY, Dr. Allen served as outpatient care chief resident and was the recipient of the Tamar L. Bolin Award for Medical Excellence, which recognizes excellence in medicine and humanism.

Dr. Allen offers her patients a full spectrum of primary care services, including management of chronic conditions. Her principal focus is to ensure patients understand their own disease processes so that they feel empowered throughout their health care journey. Helping her patients find treatment options that best suit their needs and unique lifestyles is central to her approach to care.

Dr. Allen grew up in California’s San Fernando Valley. She moved east for her medical school and residency training, and happily returned to Los Angeles after eight years. In her free time, she enjoys trying new restaurants in Los Angeles with her husband, Robert, their daughter and their rescue dog, Leo.
