Bright Zhou, MD, MS, is a family medicine physician who provides primary care to patients of all ages and genders while also practicing hospital medicine. Patients can expect compassionate and respectful care during each visit. Dr. Zhou draws from their previous life experiences as an archaeologist, musician, scientist and actor to better understand each patient’s unique circumstances and provide the best medical care possible.
Dr. Zhou’s practice is also informed by their advocacy expertise in LGBTQ+ health, immigrant health and mental health. They have held several leadership roles with state and national family medicine organizations, including the California Association of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Zhou is a trilingual physician fluent in Mandarin and Spanish.
In addition, Dr. Zhou is involved in research efforts aimed at enhancing patient care and medical education. Their work has been published in peer-reviewed journals, and they have presented their findings at conferences around the United States and Canada.
Dr. Zhou is passionate about helping to educate future providers. They serve as a clinical assistant professor of family medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of USC.
Outside of work, Dr. Zhou enjoys reading, reflecting, learning and singing.
