Billing and Insurance

We understand that medical bills and health insurance plans can be confusing. At Keck Medicine of USC, we work closely with you and your insurance company to create a seamless process of payment.

Billing

Keck Medicine of USC has upgraded its billing system to offer you a streamlined, secure and convenient payment experience. Your billing statements can now be viewed and managed online via a mobile device or computer, in addition to the paper statements you are accustomed to receiving.

Our enhanced billing statements include all of your services, treatments and care in one simple, easy-to-read document. For added convenience, we have expanded our available payment options, including credit/debit cards, ACH, Apple Pay, Google Pay and checks. You can also sign up to receive notifications via text message and email to stay up-to-date on your billing statement.

The Keck Medicine of USC Customer Service Department is here to help you with questions regarding your hospital billing statement. Our hospital Customer Service representatives are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., to answer your questions. Insurance

Keck Medicine of USC accepts Medicare-assignment and private insurance and works in collaboration with many local and national managed care networks. Protections Against Surprise Medical Bills — No Surprises Act

The No Surprises Act takes effect on January 1, 2022 and provides patients financial protections against surprise medical bills and prohibits balance billing for certain out-of-network (OON) care. Financial Assistance

As part of fulfilling its charitable commitment to the community, Keck Medicine of USC hospitals provide medically necessary services, without cost or at a reduced cost, to eligible patients who have an inability to pay for their care. Please click here for more information.

Medicare and Medi-Cal Dual-Eligibility

Changes in Medicare and Medi-Cal benefits may prevent you from seeing your physicians at Keck Medicine of USC. To avoid this situation, you will need to take action. Please view the dual-eligible page for more information.
