About Henry Wang, MD

Henry Wang, MD, is a general oncologist who specializes in all types of cancer, with a particular expertise in lung, breast, colon and prostate cancer. His goal in treating cancer is to maximize the chance for cure, extend longevity and preserve quality of life as much as possible — even if the cancer is incurable — with the most advanced immunotherapy, molecular targeted therapy, biologic therapy, chemotherapy and hormonal therapy.

As a research fellow, he became intrigued by the rapid development of new treatments occurring in cancer science and pursued fellowship training in hematology/oncology at the University of California, Davis. Before he took the reins as medical director of Keck Medicine of USC’s Arcadia location in 2018, he built a thriving private practice in the San Gabriel Valley.

He is excited to bring the collaborative resources of an organization like Keck Medicine to the community to provide even better care for patients.

Away from the clinic, Dr. Wang enjoys tackling household chores, along with reading that engages him in the ever-changing world. He also likes travel and hiking.

“I strive to treat the patient physically, with the best medicine and technology; support the patient psychologically, with the greatest compassion and hope; and partner with the family, with the highest dignity and honesty.

The most important aspects of my relationship with patients are that I treat them as my own family; understand their philosophy, priorities, preferences, hopes and fears; and be available for them.”
