As a pulmonologist at Keck Medicine of USC, Lydia Ran, MD, diagnoses and treats lung and respiratory system conditions. She specializes in treating pulmonary hypertension as well as general pulmonary diseases and takes care of patients in the critical care unit.
The most important aspect of her relationships with patients is trust. Dr. Ran prioritizes building solid foundations with her patients, fostering open communication and ensuring they feel supported throughout their health care journey. She takes the time to understand their concerns and creates personalized care plans that meet their needs and goals.
Dr. Ran’s research interests are focused on treatments for pulmonary hypertension and strategies to enhance medical education. She is regularly invited to present her findings at national conferences and is member of professional organizations including the American Thoracic Society and the American College of Chest Physicians.
Outside of work, Dr. Ran enjoys traveling, enjoying the California sun and taking her dog, Ollie, on outdoor adventures.
