Porus D. Mistry, MD, specializes in anesthesiology and pain medicine at Keck Medicine of USC. He offers expert care for the management of chronic pain at the USC Pain Center.
Dr. Mistry completed his anesthesiology residency and internship at the Keck School of Medicine of USC and Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center. He is also a clinical assistant professor of anesthesiology at the Keck School.
Dr. Mistry’s research interests focus on patient care during surgery for age-related cognitive impairment issues and bioinformatics, a discipline that aims to improve the collection and analysis of biological data. He is currently a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the International Anesthesia Research Society, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, and the North American Neuromodulation Society.
Dr. Mistry is deeply committed to mentorship and expanding care for underserved communities. He has worked with a wide range of organizations and led several community-focused projects in Los Angeles and Oakland, California, as well as Phoenix, Arizona.
In his free time, Dr. Mistry enjoys spending time with his family and dog, playing soccer and traveling. He also speaks conversational Spanish and Gujarati, a language commonly spoken by a small community from India, called Parsi.
