Raafat Attalla was in the US Air Force from 1986 to 1990. He was an Orthopedic Technician. He assisted in designing and developing guide for repair of anterior cruciate ligament. After the Air Force, he went to UCLA and graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. In 2002 he graduated from Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science and he was the Valedictorian of the entire school. He then became a Clinic Supervisor and Physician Assistant at UCLA Clark Urology. In 2009 he joined Cedars Sinai Comprehensive Urology as a Physician Assistant until 2011. He is now a Physician Assistant and Clinical Instructor at the USC Institute of Urology.
